Channels
A channel is one connected WhatsApp number. How to connect one, key it, point its webhook and move it.
A channel is one WhatsApp number connected to your Sendport account. Everything you send goes out through a channel, and everything you receive arrives on one. Most accounts start with a single channel and add more per brand, per market or per team.
Connecting one
Channels are created through Embedded Signup — Meta's hosted flow. Sendport reads your WhatsApp Business Accounts and phone numbers from the Graph API, registers the number for the Cloud API and wires the webhook. There is nothing to configure by hand and no number to buy from us.
Channel keys
Scope an API key to a single number.
Webhook URL
Route one channel's events to its own endpoint.
Payload mapping
How Meta's raw payloads become Sendport events.
Migrate a number
Bring a live number in, or take one out.

Read them with list phone numbers. Quality and tier changes arrive on number.quality_updated.
Running several channels
- Every send takes an optional
from. Omit it and the account's primary channel is used. - Conversations are scoped per contact per channel — the same person messaging two of your numbers produces two threads.
- The 24-hour session window is also per channel. A reply on one number does not open the window on another.
- Quality ratings and messaging tiers are per channel, so a bad broadcast on one number does not cap the others.
